Maura reconciles with her lineage, both past and present; Ali talks to Leslie about her academic future; Josh looks to Buzz as a father figure; Sarah tries to tie up loose ends.
Leaving Idyllwild without her daughters, Maura ends up spending some time with Vicki, which allows her to explore another side of herself. The Idyllwild experience results in Sarah and Ali being more centered, that new feeling which they share with Josh. However, that new feeling also leads to more questions for all three of them. Without Raquel, a baby on the way or Colton, Josh turns to Buzz, who has some surprising answers for him. Beyond still going to see Pony professionally, Sarah owns up to a past incident with Len. And Ali receives two intriguing propositions from Leslie, only one which she can accept if she accepts any at all. The Idyllwild experience also leads to both Maura and Ali independently needing to revisit their past, which they end up doing together.
