Steve Ford (Bruce Willis) is a down but not out L.A based Private Investigator whose professional and personal worlds collide after his loving pet Buddy is stolen by a notorious gang. A series of crazy circumstances find him doing the gang's bidding, while being chased by two vengeful Samoan brothers, a loan shark's goons, and a few other shady characters. They say a dog is a man's best friend, and Steve shows how far a man will go to be reunited with him.Written by

This film tells the story of a policeman turned private detective, whose dog got stolen by a formidable drug cartel. He is determined to find his dog, no matter what price he pays and what method he uses to achieve his goal.
"Once Upon a Time in Venice" is about the crazy happenings in Venice beach, not Venice the Italian city. It keeps a light hearted tone throughout the film, and it keeps on being funny and entertaining. Hurdles keep getting into his way, but he solves them with relative ease. That's what a feel good comedy should be like. A good thing is that the plot does not get too ridiculous. Bruce Willis is good in this role, as he is tough but still got a comedic and sensitive side to the character. I enjoyed this funny action comedy.
