  • Deadline
Exclusive: Channel Zero, the Canadian broadcaster responsible for series including Wynonna Earp and The Pinkertons, is launching its own studio operation as it looks to move into producing original scripted content.

The company, which operates channels including linear network Chch, is launching Channel Zero Studios to produce series for its in-house networks and third-party platforms.

Jennifer Chen, formerly the company’s VP of Programming, will lead the division as Head of Studios and VP of Content. In the newly created role, Chen will focus on building out the development slate, overseeing financing and securing relationships with global partners.

10 Best Episodes Of Wynonna Earp According To IMDb

In 2016, Syfy had a sleeper hit on its hands, as critics and audience members loudly voiced their praise for the new series Wynonna Earp. Inspired by the Idw comic of the same name, the series followed the title character as the heir to the Earp curse.

As the legend goes, every generation a new heir was responsible for using the magical gun Peacemaker to send demons packing. Those demons used to be people when Wyatt Earp lived in the small town of Purgatory. It’s Wyatt’s actions that resulted in the curse, but it’s the rest of his family line that has to pay for it.

Variety has learned that production on the show’s fourth season is set to begin with the premiere slated for summer 2020. ‘Wynonna Earp’ Season 4 In Limbo, Despite Greenlight From Syfy

  • Indiewire
Twitter followers of the show “Wynonna Earp” demonstrated the power of a scared fanbase over the last 24 hours, as issues involving the production company Idw may affect the return of the show for a fourth season.

The Syfy paranormal drama, which features the demon-hunting descendant of Wyatt Earp, has become a fan favorite for its inclusive storytelling (including a long-running lesbian romance) and quick wit. “Earp” was renewed by Syfy for a fourth season in July 2018, as revealed during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel. However, Deadline reported Friday that Idw at this time “cannot proceed with production on a fourth season.”

The “Earp” cast, along with creator Emily Andras, are quite active on social media, and Thursday afternoon a series of comments on Twitter indicated that fans might have reason to be concerned about the show’s future. Andras initially commented on Twitter that fans might need to

Syfy Cancels ‘Nightflyers’ After One Season
The George R.R. Martin drama “Nightflyers” has been canceled by Syfy after only one season.

Based on the novella from the mastermind behind “Game of Thrones,” the show was seen as a big gamble for the NBCUniversal-owned cable network, as it represented the most expensive series it had ever developed. The network attempted to spark interest by releasing the entire series at once across its digital platforms on Dec. 2, but the show never really took flight, with its finale garnering only 420,000 live viewers, a drop-off from 623,000 for the premiere.

The series followed a crew of eight scientists, led by a reclusive captain, on a spaceship called The Nightflyer. The tight-knit group set out on an expedition to discover and make contact alien life, but when a series of horrifying and violent events occur, they begin to question each other and their camaraderie becomes a fight for survival.

This Wynonna Earp review contains Major spoilers.

Wynonna Earp Season 3, Episodes 11 & 12

Holy moly, a lot just happened in the two-hour Wynonna Earp Season 3 finale. To be fair, it was technically two episodes—two episodes that were not written to be viewed back-to-back like that, with nigh even a moment for us to catch our breaths. Then again, Team Earp didn't have much of a moment to catch their breaths as they barrelled closer to the inevitable apocalypse, so we can't be picky now, can we?

While things may have seemed dire at the of last week's episode, "Daddy Lessons" demonstrated just how little Team Earp really has going for them in the face of the coming apocalypse. Wynonna can't even properly rally her spirits and ammunition to face Bulshar without getting taken hostage by

TVLine's Performers of the Week: Melanie Scrofano & Katherine Barrell
The Performer | Melanie Scrofano and Katherine Barrell

The Show | Wynonna Earp

The Episode | “I Fall to Pieces” (Aug. 31, 2018)

The Performance | We celebrate intensity on dramas, and the brilliant delivery of laughs in sitcoms — plus, the occasional comedy star who gets to tackle a serious “issue.”

It is a rarer thing that the stars of an hour-long series have opportunity to go for broke in going for laughs. But that is what Scrofano and Barrell winningly did as Earp‘s titular gunslinger and would-be sheriff endured one supernaturally lousy run of bad luck.

As Wynonna and Nicole contended with a nearly
