Storyline

Chicken George spends 20 years in England, before being set free and returning to America. He finds out his mother, Kizzy has passed, and his wife and children were sold off. He finds four of his kids and his wife,Matilda aka Mourning Dove, on Ben Murray's farm in North Carolina. Chicken George and his youngest son, Tom Murray don't hit it off as they get to know one another again. Chicken George and Tom join the fighting in the Civil War in the hopes of FREEDOM~ the dream of every slave. Written by Cheri Hoffman RN
