The 100 Season 6 Episode 4 Review: The Face Behind the Glass

There is nothing quite as satisfying as all the pieces fitting together the way you knew they would. Except for the whole Sanctum cult portion of the reveal, safety has never felt so out of reach.

But if there is one thing we can count on it's that people will always let you down, because there is no such thing as total piece even on the most beautiful of planets.

During The 100 Season 6 Episode 4, Clarke puts her guard down during the traditional lead up to Naming Day which turns into her becoming Josephine. After Cillian tries to make sure the Children of Gabriel take Clarke, he instead kills himself and leaves her to be used by Russell and Simone without her friends having any clue about that.

Meanwhile, Diyoza and Octavia find their way back to one another and choose to go after the Children of Gabriel because they think

Sony Chief Tom Rothman on Quentin Tarantino and Original Films: ‘You Have to Commit’

WaxWord tracked down a beaming Sony Motion Picture Group Chairman Tom Rothman after the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.” The Cannes audience, which always loves Tarantino, gave him a lengthy standing ovation at the Palais de Festivals. But the early critical reactions were also glowing, hence the happy movie executive, accepting good wishes at the hotel rooftop after-party.

Rothman, at pains to emphasize that his studio wants to make distinctive, original films amid the rush of superhero fare and franchises, called this moment in the industry “the best of times, the worst of times.”

Here’s the conversation:

Sharon Waxman: Congratulations.

Tom Rothman: Thank you. It’s a great director, great film. That’s what happens more often than not. We firmly believe that there is room for originality. It’s not easy, with all the sequels and super heroes.

Octavia Spencer on ‘Ma’: ‘These Types of Roles Haven’t Really Been Available to Women of Color’
Octavia Spencer is taking control.

While it sounds strange to presume that the career of an Oscar-winning actress and producer with over 125 credits is somehow outside of her control, Spencer is taking her sweet-as-pie image and burning it with “Ma.” Well, she’s actually getting it drunk, stalking it, sewing up its lips, and generally terrorizing it, but that’s beside the point.

In the horror thriller, Spencer plays a lonely veterinary aide named Sue Anne who starts partying with a group of high schoolers after they ask her to buy them booze. Sue Anne invites them over to her home, and Ma’s basement quickly becomes the hotspot for teens looking to drink. But as quickly as the fun begins, everything — including Ma — starts to unravel, and eventually the party is over, for everyone.

Spencer, at the film’s premiere in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday night, highlighted the

Ginnifer Goodwin: Twilight Zone's Take on Immigration Left Me Feeling 'Icky' — Plus, What's Her Manifest Anxiety?
This Thursday on The Twilight Zone, Ginnifer Goodwin plays a suburban housewife “who wants to go home.” But as the official synopsis asks, “Where — and what — is home, really?”

This latest installment of the CBS All Access anthology, rebooted by filmmaker Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us) and already renewed for Season 2, serves up a haunting take on immigration and “bystander apathy,” Goodwin says. And to reveal much more would be no fun, though we will note that James Frain (Gotham) and Zabryna Guevara (New Amsterdam) play key roles.

Goodwin, though, had much to share with TVLine about how this emotionally

Sf Studios Preps Thriller ‘Line’ With Allison Williams

  • Variety
A young woman struggles in the water to free her bloodied former lover from the seat of a submerged small plane, perched precariously on the ledge of an underwater cliff descending into the abyss of the Indian Ocean.

It’s a scene — shot in the tank at Pinewood, with visual effects to be added by Double Negative — from forthcoming action-thriller “Horizon Line,” the first fully English-language movie to be produced by Sweden’s Sf Studios.

The film, produced with Stx, is the start of Sf Studios’ ambitious plunge into bigger-budget English-language films targeted at the global market, a move spearheaded by producer Fredrik Wikström Nicastro, Sf Studios’ senior VP, international production.

The idea is to work on these projects with Scandinavian IP or filmmakers — in this case Mikael Marcimain, a Swedish director who piqued the interest of Hollywood after the critical applause that greeted his political thriller “Call Girl.”

Riverdale Season 3 Episode 21 Review: The Dark Secret of Harvest House

If one thing was made perfectly clear after Riverdale Season 3 Episode 21, it's that most people don't leave The Farm in one piece. Enlightenment from this cult doesn't come without a price.

We always figured that The Farm was up to no good with their chants about togetherness and their brainwashing. What Betty discovered, on the other hand, was new levels of deception that made Edgar Evernever look like a deranged serial killer.

Anyone could be at risk heading into Riverdale Season 3's finale next week.

The secrets of The Farm were more serious than any one of us could've imagined.

Throughout all the possibilities that ran through our minds (from a financial con to a supernatural servitude for The Gargoyle King), organ harvesting hadn't been a top contender. This reveal took the cake with Riverdale's trend of twisting real-life issues with a dark, 50s-style charm.

When you look back

One of These Custom Godzilla: King of the Monsters Xbox One Xs Could Be Yours

Microsoft has unveiled a brand new series of Xbox One X consoles for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The best part? The company is giving them away to a few lucky winners. It's not at all uncommon for big companies like Microsoft to do tie-in promotions for major Hollywood blockbusters. Surely many people of a certain age remember the old Taco Bell ads for the 1998 American Godzilla? Sometimes these promotions are cooler than others. In this case, this is pretty near the top of the list, in terms of coolness.

The official Xbox Twitter account unveiled the consoles recently. There are four in total, all custom designed to resemble one of the main four creatures at the center of the upcoming movie; Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah. The consoles don't just have a little bit of flair, mind you. They're totally decked out in the trappings of their respective monster.
