According to the Geneva Convention (1929), physically fit enlisted POWs may be used for non-war related manual labor. NCO POWs shall be required to perform supervisory (non-manual labor) work. Officers may request "suitable work" (non-manual labor), but they may not be compelled to work. See more
When the two Canadian Soldiers are working on the leaflet propaganda, they have a paper with a variety of styles of hearts. Two of the hearts contain a swastika, but both swastikas are drawn backwards. The Nazi swastika is drawn so the arms resembles the letter "S." See more
