Tras presencial el atentado contra su amado Serrano Súñer, Sonsoles de Icaza acude a su amigo y confidente, Critobal Balenciada, en busca de consuelo. Tras derrumbarse, la marquesa de Llanzol confiesa al cotizado modisto que el ministro de Asuntos Exteriores es su amante.
After witnessing the attack on her beloved, Ramón Serrano Súñer, Sonsoles de Icaza goes to her friend and confidant, Cristobal Balenciaga, in search of consolation. After collapsing, the Marchioness of Llanzol confesses that the Minister of Foreign Affairs is her lover. Balenciaga, for his part, warns the aristocrat of the danger she runs if someone discovers her affair and makes it public. Meanwhile, Serrano Suner presses Franco to make a decision on the entry of Spain into the war that is being waged in Europe. While the future of the nation is being decided, the suspicions about the secret romance between Sonsoles and Serrano Súñer increase, while the first gossip begins to spread.
