Storyline

[PART 1] Franz Marthaler must be rescued after a solo mountain hike, having fallen off a cliff, dangling by his backpack strap hours until a search starts, yet next day he tries again. This time Peter Herbrechter guesses his plans and insists to come along, looking for their youth buddy Anton, the local smuggling baron, who crashed with his airplane 60 years ago. Newcomer Silke zu Hanstedt shamelessly tricks his boyfriend Benjamin Marasek, who took over Toni Stössl's mountaineering shop, to come with her looking in the Alps for that same airplane, and her 'heirlooms', actually a gold treasure. Markus meets Johanna Marquart, who bought some art from his late father, whom she knew well enough, and explains what Franz and Peter must be after, so he sets out for them with Tobias. Meanwhile both treasure hunt couples met and jointly found the wreck, with a gold coins load, but it tippled them into a crash dangling over a ravine. Written by KGF Vissers
