Trivia

Take Two has a principal character called Sam Swift (Rachel Bilson) and Sam Swift is also the name of a character in Doctor Who: The Woman Who Lived and Take Two's own Sam Swift saying in the first episode, "Have you met me?" and it was the same thing that O'Donnell said in Doctor Who: Before The Flood which is two episodes before The Woman Who Lived.

There is little evidence that all this is not coincidental.

This is because Take Two is created by Andrew W. Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller and Marlowe had earlier created Castle (2009-16) with Miller executive producer.

One of the Castle episodes that Marlowe and Miller had written together is 6.5 Time Will Tell which is about someone who claimed to be a time traveller and this episode included references to Doctor Who and the sonic screwdriver. See more »

Yes I love Rachel Bilson and I'm down with this show!

Disclaimer: As the title of this review suggests, I'm likely a little bias because I do really like her. Having said that, I don't persist in watching anything just because I like an actor.

Okay so quick thoughts; I've actually had a lot of fun watching the first two episodes and I'm about to binge the third (but I came here first).

Is this show going to win oscars? No. But it's fun and funny - at appropriate times - and the chemistry between Sam and Eddie is so on point (got me sitting up chanting "ship ship ship").

It's somehow a bit of a feel good and yet still a bit serious with whatever they happen to be investigating each episode. I will admit that if it wasn't her cast in the lead, maybe I would have given it a 7 instead of an 8 but it's earned from me because I really like what she brings to this role, and I'm enjoying this show for what it is.

If the rest of the season is like this then I hope it gets a second season at the least because I'll be watching that.
