‘Resident Evil: Vendetta’ Review: Come for the Horror, Stay for the Insane Action

While the first slate of live-action Resident Evil movies recently came to a close with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, the CG-animated features just keep getting better. Inspired by Capcom's action/horror game franchise that has been running strong for more than 20 years, the animated movies bring fan-favorite heroes, over-the-top villains, and bigger-than-life monsters to the screen in ways not possible with live-action. Over the years, he's been a producer on some of the franchise's biggest titles across various media from video games, to live-action features, to CG-animated movies. Hiroyuki Kobayashi's latest contribution comes with the new release Resident Evil: Vendetta, which will play in theaters for one …

‘Resident Evil’ Live-Action Reboot Likely to Remain an Action-Focused Franchise

In talking to Resident Evil producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi for the theatrical and home video release of Resident Evil: Vendetta, I've learned what the future of the live-action movie franchise might just look like. But as a recent report suggested, once Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich's …
