Why the Blitzkrieg was so effective early on...and how ineffective it was later in the war.
11 August 2018 | by MartinHaferSee all my reviews

There have been many, many documentaries that have talked about the German Blitzkrieg of WWII. However, I particularly liked the focus of this episode of "German Mega Weapons" because it didn't just regurgitate what other shows have said. Instead, the first portion talks about WHY the blitz was so effective in the war up until about 1942. Then, as the show continues, it addresses why the blitz was NOT effective throughout the war...it's many shortcomings. Overall, one of the best examinations of this aspect of Nazi military....and another excellent episode of an excellent series.
