Storyline

Seeing Laura's post Andrew reassures his young son Luke of his innocence before ringing Laura and getting a tirade of accusations. Aware her sister's actions could jeopardize the case Katy asks Tom to intervene but his discovery that Andrew's wife committed suicide eleven years earlier after a row does not impress the investigating officers and backfires on Laura, who, like Andrew, is receiving Facebook messages, reviling them both. Andrew, however, is thrown an apparent life-line when a man called Dennis Walters phones him, to give him information on Laura's past. Written by don @ minifie-1

Episode 2
26 September 2017 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

The first episode of Liar did better than the Williams Brothers other drama, Rellik competing against it. The second episode of Liar annihilated the second episode of Rellik in the ratings.

Episode two continues it straightforward story telling, it seems to be slanted towards making Andrew look plausible.

The post Laura puts online about Andrew raping her makes him embarrassed and he has to talk to his superiors at the hospital. However it is Laura who attracts criticism and whispers behind her back especially from pupils at the school who are having field day making fun of her. The pressure is getting to her.

I would have thought the head of the school would have put her on paid leave for a while given her traumatic experience.

As the police carry out her investigations, a frustrated Laura takes matters in her own hands, sneaking into Andrew's home looking for evidence, getting her ex Tom involved as well who upsets the investigating officers by poking his nose in.

The introduction of Denis played by Peter Davison at the end who contacts Andrew and tells him that Laura has done this before does make you wonder how this is going to stretch out over six episodes. The writers must have another trick up their sleeves.
