Rebecca is recovering in the hospital under the joint care of Dr. Akopian and a doctor new to her case, Dr. Daniel Shin. She is buoyed to hear from Dr. Shin that he, in consultation with Dr. Akopian who Rebecca implicitly trusts, believes she has been misdiagnosed, and that he will discuss his diagnosis and its treatment, which does not center on medication, with her at their first out patient session. Her euphoria turns one hundred eighty degrees when she hears the diagnosis and doesn't follow what Dr. Shin tells her to do, or more specifically what not to do. She has to figure out how to handle this new information in its entirety. Meanwhile, each member of the girl group, and by association Hector in his new role as Heather's boyfriend, has largely self-appointed herself in a specific set of tasks in this tenuous time for Rebecca.
