Anti-Trump propaganda
24 January 2019 | by Sanctimonious_BakutoSee all my reviews

The program started off with a few Trump jokes and comments about the wall, and I thought, that's understandable - it's a big deal in Mexico, let them get it out of the way, then let's get on to the usual Conan where he explores the country, it's history, it's culture, it's people. No. Apparently not.

The entire 45 minutes is nothing but anti-Trump indoctrination and promotion of illegal immigration. It would have been nice if they'd at least attempt some form of debate given that they'd made the episode completely political, but no, we're just force fed one super-biased viewpoint after another. We're given ridiculous blanket statements, accusations of racism and even conspiracy theories (Trump had planning permission for a tower in Baja rejected, so now he has it in for all Mexicans???), while none of the issues surrounding illegal immigration are actually discussed.

The episode then ends with a 1 minute long mashup of all the normal things Conan did in Mexico so as to distract us from the brainwashing we've just endured for the past three quarters of an hour. Do yourself a favour and skip this episode, it is nothing but trash.
