Upon their arrival at a Moscow hotel, Saul and Carrie are told by a CIA agent that they were staying in a "clean suite" that had been swept for surveillance. This is absurd and the CIA would never declare such a thing. In fact, almost all of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow is considered vulnerable to surveillance. Only a certain soundproof, secure room at the center of the U.S. Embassy is considered free from Russian government surveillance, and thus, sensitive material may be discussed there. See more
