Officer Braithwaite: Having a lively lunch, are we?
Nigel Norman Fletcher: Playing a game, Mr Braithwaite. Names of prison movies. Anything to take our minds off the suffocatin' boredom of repressive regime.
Shel: And the illegible food.
Officer Braithwaite: The what?
Shel: This food. It's illegible.
Nigel Norman Fletcher: I think he means inedible.
Shel: Yeah, that, and all.

The Cake
14 October 2017 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

Officer Braithwaite has been replaced for being too soft on the prisoners. His replacement Officer Gemmell is just a clone of Officer Meekie and she is keeping an eye on Fletch who is trying to retrieve a birthday cake given to Aziz which then got stolen and then mixed up with Fletch's own birthday cake.

This was a better episode as it felt less like an old Porridge episode even though they introduced the character of Dougie Parfitt who is similar to Grouty.

The highlight is Aziz getting an eyeful of his replacement auntie and Office Gemmell finding a cake can have more than a soggy bottom.
