Episode 1.2

Valentine is one of these characters that has an effect on people who he encounters.

Walter gets Valentine at the car parts factory where he works. After the interview the manager wants to leave his job and follow his dreams of being a cook.

Valentine can make money by ducking and diving such as getting good cash for doing electrical work at a nearby brothel. The only embarrassing thing is people see you entering and leaving.

It was clear in the first episode that Bagpipes daughter may not be his. Bagpipes has not been keen looking forward to his and Kirsty's anniversary. It was three years ago to the day she told him that the baby is not his.

Walter tells Bagpipes that he may not be the biological father but he is her father.

It is a gentle comedy but it is clear that it relies too much on its 80s soundtrack.
