Trivia

There are several past examples of episodic science fiction television setting precedent for human-robot relations as explored in this episode. In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987) episode The Naked Now (1987), android Lt. Cmdr. Data engages in casual sexual activity with human Lt. Tasha Yar, and in the episode In Theory (1991), Data enters into a full romantic relationship with a human woman. In the "Futurama" (1999) episode Proposition Infinity (2010), robot Bender has sex with, and then enters into a relationship with human Amy Wong, spurring a debate about robot/human marriage rights. Wow!
1 February 2019 | by RastifanSee all my reviews

This show just keeps getting better and better. I won't say a word other than don't miss out on this. Forget Star Trek. Forget the comparison. This is anything but Star Trek. The Orville is on it's way to be one of the best sci-fi series in it's very own right.
