We have an interesting trailer for you to check out for the upcoming PBS Masterpiece series Sandition, based on the last, unfinished novel of Jane Austen. It is said that Austen was chronically ill and wanted to write about something happy, so she started this novel set in a seaside town. ‘The Night Manager’s Tom Hollander & ‘The Killing’s Sofie Gråbøl To Star In BBC’s Adaptation Of David Nicholls’ ‘Us’
The Night Manager star Tom Hollander and The Killing’s Sofie Gråbøl are to star in BBC One’s adaptation of David Nicholls’ novel Us.

The four-part series has finally begun filming after being initially commissioned in 2016. Wanderlust’s Nick Payne was initially attached to write but the adaptation is now being handled by original author Nicholls, who wrote Patrick Melrose, himself.

The cast is rounded out by Saskia Reeves (Luther), Tom Taylor (The Dark Tower), Iain De Caestecker (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) and Thaddea Graham (Curfew).

The series is produced by Doctor Foster producer Drama Republic and Bandstand Productions, which is run by Hollander and Hannah Pescod.

“L.A’s Finest” is coming back for Season 2 on Spectrum Originals.

Stars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba made the announcement Friday during the Monte Carlo Television Festival.

A spinoff of the “Bad Boys” film series, “L.A.’s Finest” featured Union reprising her role as Syd Burnett from 2003’s “Bad Boys II.” Now an Lapd detective, Syd is paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Alba), a working mom with an equally complex past. Taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles while skirting the rules, and speed limits, Syd and Nancy become a force to be reckoned with – on the streets, and in each other’s lives.

The Urban Movie Channel (Umc) series “Stuck With You” has recast the role of Luvell with Timon Kyle Durrett, taking over for Thomas Q. Jones. Durrett and Tammy Townsend will now star together as an unhappily married celebrity couple that struggles with being the face of relationship goals in the spotlight, while living two separate lives behind closed doors. The series hails from writer and director Patricia Cuffie-Jones.

Geena Davis will appear in five of the 10 episodes in the third season of “Glow.” Season three follows the women wrestlers as they take their show to Las Vegas. Moonage Pictures, the UK production company set up by a handful of Peaky Blinders execs, is adapting Lionel Davidson’s Russian spy thriller Kolymsky Heights.

The BBC Studios-backed firm has optioned The 39 Steps-esque novel, which was originally published in 1994 but was republished by Faber in 2015 after it became one of the most requested out of print titles at UK bookstores. His Dark Materials author Philip Pullman has described it as one of his favorite thrillers.

It tells the story of an Oxford Professor, who receives an envelope containing nothing but two cigarette papers, which begins a chain of events that will change the course of history. ‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel Pilot Adds Miranda Richardson to Cast
HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel pilot has cast Miranda Richardson as a series regular in the hotly anticipated yet-untitled series.

Richardson, a BAFTA- and Golden Globes-winning actor, joins Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, Naomi Ackle, Denise Gough and others on the series created by Jane Goldman and “Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin. Goldman will serve as showrunner.

Known to audiences for playing Queen Elizabeth on British TV comedy “Blackadder” and for portraying tabloid reporter Rita Skeeter in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, among other roles, Richardson has been nominated for two Academy Awards, one for Best Supporting Actress in 1993 for “Damage” and another for Best Actress in 1995 for “Tom & Viv.”

She is currently on screen in Sky’s 10-part street-racing TV series “Curfew,” starring Sean Bean and Robert Glenister, and will also appear in Amazon Studio

A few weeks before “Game of Thrones” begins its final season, HBO has added another resident of Westeros to its prequel pilot: “Harry Potter ” alum Miranda Richardson.

No character details are currently available for any of these parts on the prequel pilot, which is currently untitled (unless you are going by Martin’s recent blog post) and set to go into production this summer. But we do know lead Naomi Watts has been cast as a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret.

Along with Watts and Richardson, the cast includes Josh Whitehouse, Naomi Ackie (who will next appear in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars” franchise), Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim (“Harlots”), Ivanno Jeremiah (“Black Mirror”), Georgie Henley (“The Chronicles of Narnia”), Alex Sharp (“To the Bone”) and Toby Regbo (“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”).

It’s been something of an open secret for a while that “Mad About You” had potential to be the latest ’90s sitcom to be revived for a new audience. In a surprise move on Wednesday, though, Spectrum announced that it would be the new home for a continuation of the series, slated to arrive in late 2019.

The series, which co-starred Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser as a PR rep and documentary filmmaker navigating both their marriage and the pitfalls of daily life in New York. Wednesday’s announcement confirmed that both Reiser and Hunt would be returning for these new episodes and will serve as executive producers.

Original series co-creator Danny Jacobson is on board as an executive consultant, but this continuation will be overseen by TV vet Peter Tolan. Previously, Tolan was a creator on the long-running FX series “Rescue Me” and a co-creator of “The Jim Gaffigan Show.

2 ‘La’s Finest’ Crew Members Hospitalized After On-Set Accident
Two people were hospitalized following an accident on the set of “Bad Boys” spinoff series “L.A.’s Finest” on Thursday, a person with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap.

The cop drama starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba was shooting a car crash scene at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, California, at the time of the incident.

“We are saddened by this incident and send our most heartfelt wishes to our two beloved crew members, hoping their recovery is both swift and complete,” Katherine Pope, Head of Spectrum Originals, said.

Billy Zane is set to produce and star in Waltzing with Brando, an indie drama which will see him taking on the role of screen icon Marlon Brando, Variety has revealed.

The film is being written and directed by Bill Fishman (Posse) from the memoir of Bernard Judge, Brando’s architect. It will take place between 1969 and 1974, a period where Brando was preparing to star in both The Godfather and Last Tango in Paris, and will explore how the actor picked the obscure architect Judge to help him build the world’s first ecologically perfect reteart on a tiny Tahitian island.

Zane is coming off the back of a Best Actor award at the Gold Movie Awards for his role in the romantic drama Lucid and will soon appear in Sky’s street-racing drama series Curfew alongside Sean Bean and Miranda Richardson.
