Sigh no More
8 November 2018 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

It is all a much ado about nothing as Kit, Susanna and the troupe of actors all come up to the regions to escape the stench of London in the summer.

Kate helps Susanna to woo a boy that she fancies in the masked ball by swapping places with her. However Susanna's reputation is put into question. Her grandfather and Sergeant Dogberry who are in the local watch find out exactly what happened and who is to blame.

Kate and Kit continue to bicker which is driving everyone up the wall. Will thinks that both secretly love each other and hatches a plan.

Meanwhile Will's son, Hamnet is stirred by his father's text in Henry V wishes to join the army.

Another well constructed episode pointing out the inaccuracies of Shakespeare's historical plays which some people believe as being factual to the jingoism in plays such as Henry V where people sent to be slaughtered is celebrated.
