Roseanne vs The Conners
18 October 2018 | by helenscott-76361See all my reviews

The Roseanne Barr show entertained a lot of people for years; then they decided to bring the series back, which didn't especially interest me one way or the other. Next, she did something offensive and got axed from her own show (after talk of cancelling it altogether, which would have been preferable to what the producers ended up doing)! I accidentally scanned by the new show and stopped to watch for a few minutes, only to discover they had killed her off to get rid of her off of her own show! To me that was a ridiculous, extreme thing to do, AND to add insult to injury they had her die as a result of an opiod overdose and idicated she was addicted to pain killers after a knee replacement! This is not comedy and I found to be shocking and in poor taste to present this to viewers of supposedly a comedy and to do to her character people enjoyed laughing at for years, and to her personally! I say cancel the whole thing. I have never been so annoyed over a tv program or been prompted to search out a source to air my feelings about!!!
