What a Film !
This film had blood and gore I could not even look at the screen, which is very unusual for me, since I love the average blood and gore type of film, this takes the cake.
The story is about a young sexy sheriff's deputy (Sarah Thompson) Zoe Adams who works as the Sheriff's second in command and there are many reasons for such favors being given to Zoe.
One day Zoe tells the Sheriff, Jeffrey Combs she has a feeling there is a serial killer on the loose in their area because of the same way the butcher does his killing.
This is a constant film which shows more details of murder than I have ever seen and a plot that falls on its face.
Pavilion of Women (2001)
Missionery Faces Big Challenge
This is a film which will appeal to a very large group of people because of old customs of a man in China being able to choose a second wife after years of marriage.
The local Missionery has his hands full trying to find ways in order to keep the families from breaking up and at the same time keep himself from being tempted into a sexual relation which is very powerful.
There is plenty of romance and lots of explosions and you name it, this film will keep you interested right to the very end of the film.
Found the film rather long and not produced as well as I expected for a 2001 film. Give it a try.
My World Dies Screaming (1958)
Entertaining 1958 Film
This film deals with a young gal who has bad dreams about a haunted house which have put her in a sanitarium and her husband is trying his best to help her with this problem.
The husband takes his wife to a house that looks exactly like the haunted house in her dreams and this is when the story becomes interesting with mysterious people making appearances who claim to be owners of the house and even the care taker of the house becomes a dark side to the story.
Good acting, with plenty of surprises and great for a 1958 film classic. Enjoy.
In Dangerous Company (1988)
What a Black Widow
Enjoyed the first few chapters in this film concerning a very beautiful sexy gal named Evelyn, (Tracy Scoggins) who wants to hire her former boyfriend from years back who was a hit man named Blake,(Cliff DeYoung). Evelyn lives with a very rich man who abuses her in every way possible and she wants to have Blake rub him out. However, Evelyn has many many men on the side who she has affairs with and uses whenever she can and yet she claims to love Blake and at the same time Blake still feels he loves her. There is a very dark side to this film and it starts falling apart as the film starts to go around like a Merry-Go-Round.
A President with No Pension & Only Army Pay ! !
Until viewing this film, I never realized that a President like Harry S. Truman could leave office and go back home to Missouri without any pension for being President and just his Army Pay for being in the service.
Harry S. Truman had a very hard job trying to follow in FDR"s footsteps and at the same time served too many terms as President to begin with and was considered the King of America. Truman had to make some very serious decisions about using the A Bomb which cost millions of lives.
Gary Sinise gave an outstanding performance of this former President and captivated almost every scene in the picture along with local bands and local towns in Missouri.
This picture is rather long, but full of History, enjoy.
Entertaining & Funny
This was probably a great TV film in 1998, and was a horror or sci-fi feature which kept the audiences on the edge of their seats, but in 2009 it is more of a comedy.
The story revolves around a father who is a Marine Biologist and his son Brandon who are investigating various changes in the region around the Polynesian Island of Malau. There are also several killings of people in the waters, which also brings in the Marine Corp.
This film kept me laughing especially when it reminded me of a famous commercial we see on TV today a "Greco". Some of the actors tried their best to play their different roles, but this film you can really forget about and move on.
Violent Saturday (1955)
Classic 1955 Film
This film held my interest from the very beginning to the very end. The cast was comprised of all great veteran actors of the silver screen. The story is about a small Western town with everyday living people who are having trouble with their marriages and at the same time some bandits decide to hold up the local bank and are busy at work making their plans. In many ways, the town people can be glad a bank was held up which changed the lives of many people who were having problems. An Amish family was depicted in this film and the bandits even broke them away from their customs of living. This is a very well written story and a top cast of actors who have made this a gem of a picture to watch and Enjoy.
Nobody's Fool (1994)
Nice Paul Newman Picture
Enjoyed this picture which takes place in upstate New York in the town of Bath, N.Y. The story is about a man (Paul Newman) who abandoned his family, and is now getting old and wants to find himself in life and at least create a relationship with his grandson. Of course there is always problems where a parent abandons their family and it causes mental problems for the entire family and their acceptance and confidence is not easy for them to give back. Paul Newman along with other veteran actors made this a rather bitter sweet film and at the same time a few comical scenes. There is a scene during a poker game and Newman is enjoying his long neck bottle of Bud and a girl sits next to him naked, he even gets flashed by another famous star. I know Newman enjoyed making this film.
The System Within (2006)
Enjoyed this film and the great acting by most of the cast which deals with a male model who is very successful and has just returned from his business trip to his wife and child. All the friends of the model are either jealous or just don't care and their are some who want to destroy his life and career. There is plenty of blood and gore, good and bad sex and scenes in a jail which shows what prison life actually is all about In this film black is fighting black and the black ladies have their hands full to keep them in line.
This really is not that bad of a film and it will keep you entertained if you have not seen it. Enjoy
This film starts out with a young guy and gal who are very much in love and both of them feel they have found their Soul Mate in life. The young man is an excellent swimmer and is looking forward to perform for some swimming coaches for various colleges and he is encouraged by his own coach.
Another young gal who is very pretty and sexy seduces this young guy to have a one night stand with her and from then on the film becomes a fatal attraction situation.
You will have to view this film in order to find out if the one night stand was worth starting a complete web of suspense and murder.
Great entertaining film, enjoy.
A Kiss Before Dying (1956)
A very Young Wagner
For some reason I missed viewing this film and was taken by surprise at how very young Robert Wagner was in this picture. Wagner plays the role as a playboy looking for a rich young girl with a father who has plenty of money. Wagner is very tricky about his plans and at the same time makes some very big mistakes. Wagner finds himself with two girls who he has on the hook and he finds himself in a deep trap until he goes to the municipal building in town for a marriage license and at this point the film becomes a triller and we begin to become very interested in the plot and just how will it end. Enjoy a young Wagner, he was so young I did not recognize him.
Twelve Mile Road (2003)
Tom Selleck was Great
Enjoyed this picture which dealt with a farmer, Stephen Landis, (Tom Selleck) who lives with his wife and his wife's daughter.
It seems that Stephen was married to another woman and they also had a daughter and his ex-wife was having problems with her teenage daughter and decides to send her to her father for a few months during the Summer.
The teenage girl is from the city and on the wild side of life and going on a farm will simply blow her mind completely away, which it does.
There are all kinds of problems that face this family during the Summer and of course, one of the girls becomes pregnant along with cows as well.
Nice drama and Tom Selleck gave an outstanding performance in this film which was photographed in The State of Idaho. Good viewing.
Dark Depressing Story
This film starts off with a mother and daughter traveling together and both of them are not getting along because of her mother getting a divorce and the daughter feels sorry for her dad.
As this couple travel, the daughter is kidnapped by a very strange group of young people and the mother soon finds out that it is a group of people who are well organized in dark mysteries and spiritual powers that can transform people into all kinds of creatures that love to enjoy drinking blood and all sorts of sick dark acts of lust.
This is not your average horror film, but it is worthwhile viewing even if it does not make any sense.
Excellent Halloween Film
This film is full of blood and gore, however, it starts out with a group of young camp leaders and young children who are getting ready to end their camp tour.
This group are having a good time telling creepy stories and one story teller tells them about an old farmer who goes crazy and starts chopping up human bodies and it just so happens that his old home is still standing on the property of the camp grounds.
There are plenty of young couples who manage to make love and there are also ones who are fighting all the time about making love or not.
If you like a good horror film with lots of thrills and chills, don't miss this good Halloween Film.
Trip in Woods Deadly
A young man and his wife go on vacation to visit a home the young man inherited and they run into some rather unfriendly local town people who are not ready to become friendly.
After a few hours in the bar, the people began to trust the young man and knew his grandfather who owned the house he now owns.
There apparently was not very many women who visited the town or even lived in this town and some of the men looked with lust in their eyes at the wives.
Big trouble starts when they discover a young girl hidden in a room and this is when the trouble and murder just begins. There is a rape scene which is very terrifying for the young girl and how this matter is taken into your own hands and not the law.
Sex is Powerful
Enjoyed this film because it deals with a subject that can destroy peoples lives and their marriages and also relationship's between the opposite sex. This film deals with a young man who has never had sex and his school buddies arrange to break his cherry. There is also a woman who is married and has a very hot lesbian relationship along with many wives cheating on husbands and having other men's children. There is also a man who has HIV positive and is spreading his pain with other women. Truly, this film shows how sex has a power to create good and evil, it all depends on the way you look at things and your own lives. The entire cast of actors gave outstanding performances and I am quite sure we will enjoy seeing them in the future years ahead.
A Blueprint for Murder (1953)
Great 1953 Classic
Whenever Joseph Cotton appeared in a film you could bet it was going to be a great picture to watch and enjoy. Joseph Cotton plays the role as a brother-in-law who becomes very suspicious of his sister-in-law and the strange way in which family members are dying. There are times when you become suspicious of many people and they keep you guessing just who the killer is right to the very end. There are young children a boy and girl in the film who play an important part to the story and for some reason Joseph Cotton has a great concern for them and they like him very much. If you liked Joe Cotton in "Niagara", you will like him in this picture. Enjoy.
Abre los ojos (1997)
Very Entertaining Film
Eduardo Noriega, (Cesar) plays the role as a handsome rich playboy who scores almost every night and whenever his best friend finds a gal for himself, Cesar manages to sweep her away.
There is one gal who wears a red dress and follows Cesar everywhere he goes and he can't remember if they went to bed before or not. Cesar manages to get away with another gal named Sofia, (Penelope Cruz) who he falls for immediately and it takes a long time before this couple become romantic in bed.
The girl in the red dress changes the plot in the story and that is when everything goes crazy right to the very end. Enjoyable film, and you will never figure out the ending.
21 Grams (2003)
Great Masterpiece of Work
Enjoyed viewing this film from the very beginning of the film to the end. Many of the actors gave outstanding performances in their roles and Sean Penn,(Paul Rivers) and Naomi Watts, (Christina Peck) were super stars in this story.
There are many quick flashbacks, from one person to another and the director leaves the audience to solve the problems each man and woman is facing and some of the characters have deep dark secrets, with heart transplants and an ex-con who tries to find a more spiritual way of life and convert the towns he visits.
There is love scenes and some very romantic scenes with Sean Penn and Naomi Watts along with other strange couples and families. Enjoy, this is a very different type of film and worth viewing.
Enjoyed this Film
Never read the book and just recently viewed the film and enjoyed the actor playing Charlie along with the rest of the cast of players who gave Charlie a hard time including his wife who found other love interests. However, Charlie had so many one-night-stands he lost count of all the love making.
All his wife had to do was have one affair and it turned his entire life around including breaking up with his buddy and friend at a local auto repair shop.
The story opens up with Charlie carrying a Christmas Wreath for his wife's home and then there is a flash back as to just what Charlie had done in his past up to the present moment. Entertaining film, enjoy.
The Broken Land (1962)
Jack Nicholson Film
The story opens up with a drifter stumbling into a town ruled by a sheriff who trusted no one and would make certain that everyone in town lived or died by his rules.
Many people in the town would love to just up and move away but the crazy sheriff would some way convince them to stay.
There was also a woman who recently moved into town and had an affair with the sheriff and held some deep dark secrets about him, which made him want her to leave on the next stagecoach out of town.
Jack Nicholson was very young in this picture but just his appearance in the film makes it worth your while to watch and enjoy.
The Crawling Hand (1963)
Space Program in Trouble
This is a very low budget 1963 space horror film with some great veteran actors who managed to keep this interesting with good acting and a crazy story.
A young boy and his girlfriend in California are fooling around on the beach and the boy discovers this hand of a man with an astronaut marking and he proceeded to take this object home with him. However, the hand manages to take control of the young man and causes him to do some very wild things.
This film involves the FBI, local police and people from a Space Agency trying to solve this mystery and who they can blame for these mistakes.
Want to kill time, view this film.
The Inspector (1962)
Deep Dark Film
This is a great story along with outstanding actors who show the struggles of a young woman who is running far away from her past in Holland and the treatment she received from the Nazi experimental doctors.
This young girl captures the eye of a British policemen who understands she wants to go to Palestine and live and is having a hard time trying to secure passage which is very expensive. The policeman agrees to stay with her until she reaches her destination.
This couple encounter all kinds of crooks and some very good hearted people who are willing to help them secure passage to Palestine.
This man and woman begin to fall in love but the woman does not want any physical contact with the man and tells him we can never get married.
Good story and worth viewing over and over as a reminder of a horrible past that happened to the Jewish nation and other countries.
Terror Is a Man (1959)
Cute Looking Blonde
This is a story about a scientist who lives on a remote island with his attractive wife and they thought this island would be a paradise for the both of them and it was for about two years.
The doctor had made some experiments on a human being and transformed this creature into a wild animal who obeyed him and his wife. However, a ship wrecked stranger appears on the island and he becomes quite involved with the doctor and also his sexy wife.
After a few months the village people all decide to leave this island because of so many deaths which are happening. The blonde wife asks the stranger to leave the island with her after he tells her he is in love with her.
Entertaining film, but rather boring considering it was on a B Budget.
Less Than Zero (1987)
Friends Stick Together
This film starts out with two guys and a gal who graduate from high school and have their picture taken with champaign bottles. Clay Easton, (Andrew McCarthy) goes on to college and Blair (Jami Gertz) and Julian Wells, (Robert Downey Jr.) go their separate ways.
After a year or so, Blair calls Clay Easton and tells him to come to California and help out Julian as he is drug addicted and needs help badly.
The story gets very interesting as Blair tells Clay she has slept with Julian while she was trying to dry him out from drugs.
Over a period of time Blair and Clay have a very sexy and hot relationship where they cannot be without each other and decided to get married, but their friend Julian keeps upsetting their hopes and dreams.
Great acting by Robert Downey, Jr. and Jami Gertz. Enjoy
