Best American comedy series ever
This is just pure genius. The Nazi dog that responds to Heil Hitler, i cried laughing.
Dear God Nooooooooooooo
I agree with all the reviews here. Im English and i love American shows, but i rarely enjoy American network comedy. Edgy comedy like Curb Your Enthusiasm is genius, this is not.
Home: Episode #2.1 (2020)
I love this series, it has the perfect blend of comedy and drama, with very likeable characters. It's also not preachy about the asylum situation and uses the comedy rather than politics. I can also forgive the continuity error where the car driving to the airport wasn't the same one that arrived (different no. plate).
Sex Education: Episode #2.5 (2020)
What a choice
Hard choice to make Otis, Maeve or Ola. The English brunette version of Margot Robbie, a 10/10 goddess, or Ola. Mmmmm decisions decisions.
Doctor Who: Praxeus (2020)
3 ethnic characters and 2 gay characters. Spend less time ticking the p.c boxes, and more time on good storylines.
If it ain't broke
This is the only show that can be thoroughly depressing and thoroughly brilliant at the same time. It has a formula that it never veers away from, but it works, and this episode was a good example of that.
9-1-1: Lone Star: Yee-Haw (2020)
Bring on the woke backlash
Where's the non-binary character to make it a full set. Cancelled after one season. Wake up Hollywood.
Evil: Justice x 2 (2020)
Come on Luke
I really like this show, but it's hard to watch Luke Cage getting kicked all the time.
Ray Donovan: Bugs (2020)
I love this show so much that i ignore the more far-fetched storylines, but the police doing a deal that lets Ray walk out of the station after he admitted killing 4 cops is a bit of a stretch even by Ray Donovan standards. I don't want it to end, but it's getting a bit ridiculous now.
As much fun as pairing up odd socks.
Maybe season 2 will be amazing, full of twists and intrigue and edge of the seat tension. I won't know because so little has happened so far that i won't be coming back for more. If there had been just a hint of something interesting in the 4+ hours this pointless garbage has been on for, then fair enough but the only good thing i can say about this is that it's cured my insomnia.
Deputy: 10-8 Outlaws (2020)
Which shows did the network turn down for this?
This isn't just lame, this is the sheriff of lameville.
If the writers are going to rip off other shows, can they aim a bit higher than god friended me.
Ray Donovan: Passport and a Gun (2020)
Not running out of steam
This show should be winding down and running out of ideas by now, but it just seems to get better with each season. Rays luck will eventually run out, but hopefully not any time soon.
The only thing stranger than the baby that is sometimes a doll, sometimes real, is why the hell i'm still watching this crap.
The Morning Show: The Interview (2019)
Next level awesome
Yes it's true, this wouldn't happen in real life, but in the world of fictional tv this was a magnificent episode. I don't know where season 2 will take things, but i can't wait to find out.
The Cure (2019)
It's a shame dramas like this need to be made. Ten times the amount of people who watch this watch the walking dead, a sci-fi about a zombie apocalypse. Fiction doesn't come close to the terrifying reality facing many people for real, and it's heartbreaking when someone with a treatable condition dies because a hospital trust places profitability over patient care. The N.H.S is this country's crown jewel and has so many amazing, hard working and caring people working for it. This was a well written, superbly acted drama, i just hope no-one has to write anything like it again.
The Man (2019)
I know people are saying this was implausible but a spy who is known everywhere he goes, and single handedly saves the world is implausible, but we all love a good James Bond film. It's called escapism people. How many tv dramas are realistic?
Unexpected highlight of the year
Being from England i thought Australians might have overrated this because it's one of theirs, however the reviews are spot on. This has been a revelation, the Aussie trains, planes and automobiles. Shows with an emotional range like this are rare these days and even though another season with these characters would seem unlikely, i would definitely watch.
GET GOING ALREADY!!!!!!!!
I don't mind a slow burner, but this is paced all wrong. When the live baby appeared i was interested to see what was going to happen next, but so far very little has happened and everyone has just accepted the baby and carried on like it's nothing. Please pick up the pace before i lose the will to live.
Great show from start to finish
First suits, then this, and in 3 weeks mr robot. Some great tv coming to an end. More like this in the future please and not a load of angsty high school drama and vampire shows.
Loved it even if nobody else did
When the Japanese retreated and the American nazi's went back to being just American again and able to take back their country, the portal opened up because it was safe for both worlds to co-exist. The people coming through were those who had died in a false reality. Abensons films that showed the reality of the allies winning the war were no longer needed, as the now open portal allowed all worlds to become one, and with the truth out there the nazi's would ultimately be defeated. Happy ending.
This is a hidden gem of a show. The way they handled Ray's brother's death without any over the top sentimentality, just a tear at the end to show that this killing actually had an impact on Ray, was understated, brilliant, and totally in keeping with the shows dynamic. The mix of humour and brutality is spot on. Hope there's many more seasons to go. Enjoy the dimmies mate.
Cold Call (2019)
More of this please
It's been a while since i've watched anything on channel 5, but if they come up with more shows like this, then they could become a serious rival to the bbc, itv and channel 4. First class drama.
Lost for words
This is why Rami Malek is an oscar winner. This episode was too good for words to describe. It's the story that needed telling from day one, and when the truth is finally revealed, it's heartbreaking to watch. MASTERCLASS.
Well worth the wait.
Superb from start to finish. The way the 2 leads play the troubled teens, struggling to find their place in the world and clinging onto each other for dear life is a joy to watch. The writing, the acting, the soundtrack, and especially the final scene was magnificent. The length of each episode meant there was no filler, every scene just as important as the last, and ultimately that made this the most binge worthy show this year. Please give us season 3 and please don't make us wait 2 years.
