Laura Lansing Slept Here (1988)
This is a good, wholesome, family-type film!
This is a sweet story with a happy ending. Of course, most anything with Miss Hepburn in it is a class act, but we're suckers for the good, old-fashioned B-movies. What's wrong with a movie without violence, profanity, or vulgarity, anyway? We'd like to see it on tv, again, soon, and sure sould like to see it available on VHS!
The Miracle Worker (1979)
This film version has been underrated by some.
I really loved this film, and miss seeing it. It would be wonderful to see it on television and on video. While I agree that Melissa's hair may have been a bit too long, it certainly accentuated the wild look Helen must have had, especially when she struggled against Annie.
It's easy to make comparisons between originals and remakes. I've done it. But, in all fairness, a remake should be viewed with as open a mind as possible. Patty and Melissa both showed great strength and endurance in the "wrestling" scenes. It couldn't have been easy. Anyway, I have always loved the story of Helen Keller, and try not to miss an opportunity to see anything about her. Please try to bring it back, for us. Thanks.
'Great, romantic, humorous!
I really like this movie, and Eden's performance is great. We don't see enough movies of hers. She's not just a 'genie', after all! This is a simple plot: boy meets girl, problems arise, etc., but what's wrong with that? I would really like to see it, again, and hope to see it aired on television, soon. 'Sure hope it's available on video, soon, too! If decent, love stories are your forte, you must see this one!
Stone Pillow (1985)
What a performance!!
I love this movie!! Lucy put her all in it, even sacrificing her health, and brought up a problem she correctly felt our society needs to address, more. I sure would like to see it on tv, again, and be able to find it on VHS! This is a 'must-see' movie for all, so PLEASE help get it aired!
