Absolute garbage, a waste of time!
The movie's description and what actually happens in this movie don't match up. Nothing in this movie made any sense. Over two hours of random crap happening just to find out this was a movie about a demon worshiping cult with a bad ending. I really have no more words for this (should've gone straight to video movie for 99 cents at the bottom of the bin.)
Bad Samaritan (2018)
So far the best movie I've seen this year.
Minor spoiler: I was expecting a mediocre movie, because it seems that most of the thrillers/ horrors I've watched this year have been just that. The ending was good, but I was hoping they would have buried that psycho alive.
The Midwife's Deception (2018)
Avoid, avoid, avoid..... unless you have nothing else better to do.
By the title alone and this being a Lifetime movie you pretty much know how it's going to play out, but at least I thought it would be entertaining. Why invite someone into your life and home just on their word alone that they're a midwife and you do not do a thorough background check? Even the friend could see through the fake midwife's act, but true to Lifetime's movie form, the person who's NOT being fooled, opens up their big mouths in front of the LP and get themselves killed, instead of keeping their cool and gathering information to expose the LP. The ending was laughable and since there are some ***SPOILERS*** I won't spoil the comical ending.
Day Out of Days (2015)
Is that it, where's the rest of it?
This movie is a waste of time, not even a good watch if you're bored. Horrible, just horrible. You've been warned! It was slow, but I thought it was going to build into something, it didn't. The movie just ends abruptly. This movie is labeled a thriller, drama, mystery. I wasn't thrilled and the mystery is what happened to the rest of the movie?
Curse of the Witch's Doll (2018)
What just happened
This was a good movie until about the last 10 minutes or so. I was hoping to see the reason behind the doll being cursed, although you get just a glimpse of it in the beginning of the movie. There are two twist you don't expect, the first one was good, I thought the movie was going to get even better from there, then the writer blacked out came to and rushed the ending by writing a ridiculous (75 Years Later) 'lets go check out the asylum that just closed down' ending that had no substance. The ending just left you hanging, what a disappointment.
Family Possessions (2016)
Not horror or scary
This was a decent movie, could've been better. When you think it's obvious who may be doing the sacrifices towards the end, there's two twists, not what I was expecting which shows the writer has potential to make better movies in the future. The best part about the movie was "Dees Nuts." Once you watch you'll get it.
Death Pool (2017)
Don't go in the water.....
Unless you want to go drown yourself after viewing this. It started out with promise, thought it was going to be a somewhat decent Lifetime movie which would've been better than this. This movie is listed as a Thriller, but it should've been a dark comedy. It was awful, too awful to spoil, that it will do on it's own.
Fall of Grace (2017)
This is a joke right?
I can't even rate this farce of movie. From the beginning you could tell it was low budget. The music score is so bad, the cheap music box music in the beginning, the loud screeching and supposed jump scare sounds are annoying. The demon voice, FOH! I stopped at 27:05 into this. Whoever rated this movie a 9 and 10 produced this low budget horrific movie. Maybe the script was good and this could've been a good movie with real actors, I guess we'll never know.
Mother Krampus (2017)
No, hell no!
Instead of this movie going from 0 to 60, it went from 60 to 0. It started out like it was going to be a good movie, but somewhere towards the middle right down to the end it became horrible. The story line was good, but the acting and directing started to suck, it seems like the actors lost their scripts, gave up and started improvising. The acting was bad and the movie turned ridiculous. Save yourself 1:28:45!
I knew there was something strange about that abduction. Everyone in the reading group at the library just disappeared and the street was empty as well. WTF? Don't know how that was pulled off. That was some foul sh¡t on Thomas' part for what he did to Josh and Isabel just for research, using a mother's grief over the loss of her child (which he had something to do with) in order to contact beings that didn't want to be bothered in the first place. No wonder he didn't care about what Isabel was going through in the beginning of the movie. He got what he deserved!
The sound was awful, needed subtitles.
This movie seemed like it could've had promise, but between the awful sound and the story line becoming weak after one of the dead sees him, which has never happened before. I thought it would get better from there, but the movie just lost its appeal. I thought Dunning would be interacting with the dead more than he did. I wanted to like it, but it was a fail.
Sinister Minister (2017)
Absolutely ridiculous, based on true events? Hmmm
The movie starts out with the daughter being a b!tch, I detected a little racism from the daughter in the beginning, but that was it, she just started acting super rebellious and stupid. Then the daughter, who didn't like the reverend in the beginning ended up being fooled by and falling for his BS. The mother was annoying and blind, whining and crying instead of just disciplining her daughter and staying away from DJ, two dead wives (suspicious) and she marries him. She wasn't sure if she were being poisoned or not until she guessed reverend "killer" DJ's laptop password to see what he was up to. The movie was rushed and the ending sucked, I wanted the whole town to see what he was.
Recording and playing back memories.
When the movie started, I thought it was going to be very similar to The Final Cut with Robin Williams. It was similar in one sense, but very different as you will see if you give The Final Cut a watch. I enjoyed both movies. This movie also reminded me of an episode in the Black Mirror series, The entire history of you. Season 1, Episode 3. All three goes to show that memories are nothing to play around with.
A couple finds out that starting a extra marital affair is a lot easier to do than ending one when they both are seduced into outside situations.
Trying to write this without too many spoilers. Starts out cheesy, then gets a little interesting. Throw in movie cliche's such as, affairs, blackmail, stalkers and "what a small world." So I'm waiting for something big to jump off after everything that's going during the middle of the movie. Then nothing really, it ends cheesy as well. Just entertaining enough not to be boring.
