Beautiful movie which makes you think about your life and your family.
Watched this movie in 2019 and I absolutely loved it. Loved the mere idea of it. The effects. The mesmerizing direction by David Fincher and beautiful performance by all the cast members no matter what their screen presence was. Brad pitt ate, engulfed Mr. Benjamin Buttons in him and the by product we got to see at the screen. Not giving much away this is how I saw the film.
A kid was born but with the features of an 80 year old man. Who got abandoned by his only family and found home at an old age home. And to much surprise he survives and starts getting younger. Benjamin buttons (Brad pitt) was mothered by Queenie (Taraji) with Tizzy (Mahershala Ali).
Thats all I am gonna say in the matter of Synopsis. We see life through his eyes, his opportunities, his struggle and still his thankful eyes. It was a near perfection movie. Somethings I wished would have taken a different course but I think this is what the maker's decided so be it. Just sit back and go on the journey of THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTONS.
"You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went. You could swear, curse the fates, but when it comes to the end, you have to let it go.
The Good Place (2016)
Surely the good show. Kristen bell and Ted danson are the best flavour of frozen yogurt.
Loved the series and the whiff of uniqueness from the show is very entertaining and fulfilling. Michael schur have always created some of my best tv characters like Michael scott, Jim halpert, Ron swanson and Amy santiago. This show lacks that touch but all the characters are equally lovable and perfect in comedy timing. Here's the thing, its not JUST a comedy show. Its something more than that. It sometimes even reflects our soul in our face and sometimes just take a hilarious turn on our deeds like if you are from Florida you deserve to be in Bad place. It has emotions, dilemmas, philosophy, Kantz, Aristotle, love, change of hearts, everything. So please people dont judge it like its only a comedy show and saying stuff like "this is not even funny" well this show is our life and yeah its not supposed to be funny everytime. Just sit back, have a bowl of popcorn and some soda and enjoy the characters running around. And try to be a better person all over.
Give it a try. Schur never disappoints.
Watch out for some great cameos if you love Brooklyn 99.
Modern Family: Don't Push (2014)
Didnt believe Alex would do this.
I never digested the blunderous fact that valedictorian Alex Dunphy would choose a colllege because of a boy and not because of her own choices. Didnt like the idea of this.
Beautiful performances and direction.
Anurag Kashyap tried somewhat a different genre than his previous movies. It worked well I must say. This movie is a rom-com with lots of emotions and lots of roof jumpings. F for Fyaar. The new slang which works best in this generation. Rumi Bagga(Taapsee Pannu) is a hockey player who left it and now works in the family business of selling hockey. She has a lover Vicky Sandhu(Vicky Kaushal). A DJ. And our sweet, calm man Robbie Bhatia(Abhishek Bachchan) who is an NRI from London. Beautiful performances by everyone. Even the supporting roles. I will give NO SPOILERS. But this movie doesn't require any. It's pretty predictable. Still fun. An odd storyline being protected by the ensemble. And did I mention beautiful Direction? Every seen was given a detail. Every camera angle, that Punjabi accents. Top notch. Worth watching.
Swiss Army Man (2016)
Superbly creative movie and a mind twisting fiction. *SPOILERS*
Swiss army man is an incredible movie with very fun scenes and unexpected comedy. This movie is the most creative movie in years which will crack you up at times. An alone guy trying to commit suicide sees a body(daniel) who is already dead floating on the ocean. And thus he finds a friend in that stranded land. Whether that body is dead or not we dont know surely at times. But it really uplifts the movie.
