Terribly disgusted by the way the season ended.
I was terribly disgusted by the way the season ended. Not with a bang, or any cliffhanger or anything remotely decent to have you wanting to wait for a 2nd season. There were just way too many unanswered questions about Dorothy and especially Leanne. It started out very decent, but by the time you got to the last episode, you would've thought that a great eruption of answers would've occurred to cause Dorothy to have snapped out of her world of delusion, and the reality kicks in about whole baby death. No, instead of complimenting the viewers intelligence in the last episode with a great explosive climax, they insult it by keeping the story slow and boring with some dumbass get together after the baptism of Jericho and some cult street gathering sh..t, the end. Wasted time on much ado about nothing. I don't see how this would be picked up for another season. As the old saying goes....fool me once......
Color Out of Space (2019)
A film made for everyone to get a paycheck.
After watching this incoherent mess, it became quite clear that this film was made so that everyone involved would get a paycheck. Cage has completely gone off the deep end in the acid trip sci-fi horror and has lost all credibility of being one of Hollywood's all time oscar award winning legendary actors. I'm ashamed for him. This was just a lame ass flick. A film for the meth heads, pill poppers and the weed smoking community. All others...AVOID!
A Fall from Grace (2020)
One of the worst unrealistic films ever!
Tyler Perry wrote and directed one of the worst unrealistic films ever. Such bad a story and bad acting except on the parts of Crystal, Phylicia and Mechab. This was a low budget play disguised as a film. The story was just assinine, nonsensical and so damn unrealistic. You mean to tell me in 2020 your spouse can just access all you bank credentials, steal the money out the bank and take out a 2nd loan on a house all in a matter of days and no one questions anything, among other unrealistic things?..smh. Best part of the film was the film credits .....lol
Glass Houses (2020)
Not a fan of the LMN at all, but this was very decent.
Not a fan of the LMN at all, but this was very decent. A sweet little film of a dish of revenge being served nice and cold from a smoking hot teenager (Aviva Mongillo) against her pretentious, self absorbed, all about keeping up appearance, no good cheating neighbor, (Bree Turner), for setting her up mother to lose her job. I saw the trailer and it compelled me to download and watch, and it didn't let me down with a bunch of empty banter (all things LMN) from a bunch of dumb ass whyte chicks. This story made sense. A definite go for anyone who likes payback films.
Because horror films are so stupid today, I just root for everyone to die..
The film started out on a decent premise and then went south pretty quick. So because horror films are so stupid today, I just root for everyone to die. One dumb film.
The Room (2019)
Decent but a tad bit incoherent on the part of after knowing the rooms rules. Not asking the room for the right things were nonsensical. If the room provided life, why not ask for that life to exist outside the house. Build a world for you child, that they wouldn't need or want to leave the house. ...lol. Overall decent for a one time watch .
Code 8 (2019)
A definite go.
It's Dec 2019 and I can safely count on both hands films that I've thoroughly enjoyed this year and Code 8 is one of the them. Mid budget Scfi drama at its best. Watchable once and maybe again a year or two from now. A definite go.
Little Joe (2019)
What a load of crap.
I watched this film thinking that it was going to have some great climactic ending, only to realize that this film was a load of crap about nothing. The playbook is stolen from the invasions of the body snatchers, but dumbed down to insult the viewers intelligence with a stupid plant lab, a stupid woman, and a handful of stupid, colleagues. Time truly wasted on this nonsense.
The Courier (2019)
Kurylenko and Shah held the film together.
Kurylenko and Shah held the film together, from all the no talent European contract killers in the film. Their chemistry was spot on. But what's the deal with Oldman lately? He's becoming the next Nick Cage by taking all these shoddy roles. Mulroney's role came alive in the very last scene....OK, but again, shoddy role. Anyway, good action, but story very meh. Good for a one time watch.
Angel Has Fallen (2019)
A film Jada Pickett was so not needed in
Truth be told I thought AHF was going to be a real flop based on the reviews I read. But I have to admit, this was a solid thriller. Good story, good performances, I love how they wrote the character of Nick Nolte, and Morgan Freeman. But I honestly gotta say, Jada Pickett was so not needed in this film, as the FBI agent on the trail of Gerard Butler. Her character was writings so poorly, that all I could take away from her role is that she took the part for the money. Overall decent, action flick, recommendedd to any action buffs who enjoy decent fights scenes and adult dialogue.
Don't Let Go (2019)
Frequency and the Butterfly Effect all in one.
Just watched this film which had the feel of Frequency and the Butterfly Effect all in one. What lacked in story, was compensated by the echo of the two better films mentioned. The cause and effect of each past and present time scenarios, which climaxed to a very decent predictable ending. I stop purchasing theater tickets years ago, so the only thing I spent was time. If you download from torrents, you won't regret the download on this. It was DVD decent.
A movie for meatheads.
Three boring scientist sitting in a Volvo talking about nothing, except their past jobs and old relationships wearing what looks like red maga hats (ridiculous) hearing a signal from space. Two hours of absolute going nowhere story with no climax except a fast ride before my battery dies to the satellite facility to recharge my battery. This was clearly a movie for meatheads.
The Nightingale (2018)
One of the most racially charge and violent period films I've seen in a very long time....Wow!
This was by far a film that just brings out the hate in you. Rape, baby killing, racism, slavery, bigotry, violence, revenge, all wrapped up in one film. A very dark story, truly not for the faint of heart. Excellent story, awesome performances, but damming to say the least. For mature audiences only. Truly a terrible time of history for mankind. I can only watch this once.
Three actors, one boat & one location=a truly great caught off guard cult classic.
I have to admit, this one really caught me off guard. I don't know these actors from a can of film paint, and I wasn't sure of the story based on the trailer and how well the film would hold my interest. But boy oh boy, this was truly a nice little gore surprise. Three actors, one boat, and one location, met my expectations and then some. You know when a film is good, the script with great performances hold your attention and nothing else is needed. I like it when I'm caught off guard like that. A definite recommend to those who like dark comedy, a little gore and simple dialogue. You will not be disappointed. This will surely make the cult classic list.
Though I agree with the pos/neg reviews, the all out haters got it all wrong.
Was this movie any good? If compared to other nonsensical films about a mother trying to save her child's life, this wasn't too bad. Was it bad and boring like others reviewers say? No. They got it all wrong. This was solid enough, and watchable (only one time) enough to the end without being a complete let down as I've read. I'm not sure what other reviewers were looking for, the story could only go one way and when it finally got to the climax, it wasn't with such a great pay off. Though I agree with the pos/neg reviews, the all out haters got it all wrong. This was a decent watch.
Dark Encounter (2019)
Turned off after 20 mins. It just looked stupid.
Turned off after twenty minutes and deleted this bad script with bad acting people out of my movie library. It just looked stupid. I agree with the other reviewer who stated the trailer says it all. Laura Fraser was barely ok in Breaking Bad, and she is definitely not good as a lead actress in this.
A better version of Brightburn.
So this kid is taken to a medical facility by his parents to be treated and cured of his auto-immune illness, only to find out that his condition is much more nefarious then he expects. After watching this I can say that this was a much better version of Brightburn (a boy with abilities used in a sinister way) but a story concept much better executed. Definitely a good watch, nothing to write home about, but intelligent enough to keep a mature audience intrigued to the end.
Popcorn decent, but I don't get the title....Sweetheart?
So I watched this film this morning around 2:00 am, because sometimes I need something to watch to put me to sleep and I figured this would do the trick. But I kid you not when I say twenty mins in, It felt like I had just drank a fresh cup of coffee. Wow, what a decent surprise. This woke me up and kept me focused to the very end. Great stranded island monster flick. I was also pleased to see a role like this played by an African-american, Kiersey Clemons who did a great job in a lead part carrying the entire film. This was definitely popcorn decent, but I really don't get the title. Anyway, highly recommended weekend fun.
Pointless but still gets a 2.
Thus movie was pointless. But I will still give it 2....the end.
The positive reviews of this film were clearly written by people, who have no idea of good writing whatsoever. This film was by far ridiculous, I mean each scene was just nonsensical and silly. Auggie has time to leave the house from the toe story, but runs under bed? Asinine. The cop, just standing there waiting to die? Another FN, dumb ass scene. Oh yeah, next time they should use actual teenagers, instead mid 20 yr old actors that look too old for their roles. I will say it again and again, this is the reason why I stop doing theaters, and only do torrents.
Angel of Mine (2019)
In a word....Awesome!
Noomi Rapace plays a grieving mother whose daughter was killed at the hospital she was born in, now believes that after seeing a little girl at a party she takes her son to, is in fact her deceased daughter and from there begins the unfolding of this suspense story of psychological chaos with a superb twist in the end. 2019 has not put out any films to write home about, but if I was to write about one, Angel of mine would definitely be one of them. This was a very good watch. In a word... awesome!
The Protector (2019)
Nicely done music video.
So I went to You-tube to check out the trailer and what I saw was nicely done edited music video of the film. And that's all I need to see to avoid what I know to be a lame ass story....passing.
Doll Cemetery (2019)
The stuff being made today now is just horrorBLE.
Let's face it, horror films with low or high budgets being produced today, are the worst they've ever been. I have not seen one decent horror film in three years. The stuff being made now is just horrorBLE. And after watching the trailer for this film, I can further conclude that it's another film that should be avoided. Gone are the days of good horror movies, nowadays it's nothing but stupidity and bad acting... especially for horror movies.
Hollyweird never fails to disappoint.
So you have two well known actors, Olivia Spencer and Juliet Lewis, and five young unattractive no name actors in what would've been a decent film, had it not been for the nonsensical story. By far another lame ass film that is only good for download. As I stated in my other reviews, I'm so glad I stopped supporting theaters, and turned off my cable and only use my cell phone data to download from torrents. I'm not spending my money on nothing Hollyweird, that never fails to disappoint producing sh...t films.
What a mess.
The only part in the film I want to address is why would a law enforcement officer help let a serial rapist escape from a holding cell, because his baby was abducted and second the story doesn't even address it? WTF? Overall a very incoherent mess of a film. Another depiction of how inept law enforcement really is. A very poorly written story
